It’s been a long long time since my last blog((( I been more active on my FB page. So if its quiet here please come and visit my FB posts;)
Lots happened since last year …Biggest thing for our family that we moved to Mossel Bay and we love it!!! Now we close to school (only 5 min) and I don’t have to hang around and plan ahead… Now I drop kids at school and go strait home! I know its seem not a big deal, but for a last few years I would stay around Mossel bay or visit my mom in law while kids at school. I had to plan every evening of what to take with to work on and my car was always loaded with bags and baskets of my projects, snacks, extra clothes for kids for after school activities… now even thinking about it makes me tired. So now you could just imagine how happy I’m to come home, make a cup of coffee and get busy behind my desk! Yep…now I even have my own space to create;)
Life is good!
On my crochet side of life… new orders, dresses, skirts, blankets and crochet classes. Yes, few months ago I started teaching crochet again, but this time in Mossel bay at a new coffee roastery Blue shed. What an amazing place… it is literally Big blue rusty shed over looking sea side with antique fittings and furniture, freshly baked cakes, snacks and of course best coffee in town! So every Thursday morning we get together to learn new crochet stitches, share ideas and drink lots of fresh coffee;) If you ever come to Mossel Bay you simply must visit Blue Shed!
During one of our crochet classes ladies asked me to show them how to make fingerless gloves… I didn’t have pattern with me and with quick look through old crochet stitches book I came up with this easy pattern;) First we made it with DK yarn, it came out nice, but a bit chunky. Then at home I made pair with 3-4 ply old yarn from “long time ago” stash. I must say I love thinner yarn ~ pattern looks more define and elegant… its little bit more work, but in the end its worth it.
So get your hooks ready!! In my next post I’ll share with you this pattern… its almost done;)
Enjoy weekend,
Yuli xxx
