Winter Solstice Cowl

You will need:

– 2 skeins of Manos Silk Blend (50 gr)

– or any other DK yarn of your choice;

– 4 mm crochet hook

– tapestry needle

Abbreviation:

ch – chain;

sc – single crochet;

dc – double crochet;

sl.st. – slip stitch;

blo – work this round in back loops only;

Note:

3 chains in the beginning of every row as a replacement for dc.

Finish each round with 1 sl. st. in 3rd ch from beginning of round.

Directions:

Round 1 – Start with Foundation double crochet = 82 dc. Join to 1st dc with sl. st.

Round 2 -3 – blo – ch 3, 1 dc in each of the next 81 st. Total = 82 dc.

Rounds 4 – blo – ch 4, miss 1, *1 dc, miss 1, ch 1, 1 dc * – rep *-* till end of the round., finishing with 1 ch. . Total = 82 st.

Round 5 – blo – ch 3, 1 dc in each of the next 81 st. Total = 82 dc.

Round 6 – 7 – ch 3, 1 dc in each of the next 81 st. Total = 82 dc.

Rounds 8 – blo – ch 4, miss 1, *1 dc, miss 1, ch 1, 1 dc * – rep *-* till end of the round., finishing with 1 ch. Total = 82 st.

Round 9 – blo – ch 3, 1 dc, 2 dc in 1, * 3 dc, 2 dc in 1 * – rep *-* till end of the round, finish with 3 dc, 2 dc I into 1st ch from beginning of this round. Total = 103 dc.

Round 10 – blo – ch 3, 1 dc, 2 dc in 1, * 4 dc, 2 dc in 1 * – rep *-* till end of the round, finish with 1 dc.. Total = 124 dc.

Round 11 – blo – ch 3, 1 dc in each of the next 123 st. Total = 124 dc.

Rounds 12 – blo – ch 3, miss 1, ch 1, * 1 dc, miss 1, ch 1 * – rep *-* till end of the round.. Total = 124 st..

Round 13 – blo – ch 3, 9 dc, 2 dc in 1, * 10 dc, 2 dc in 1 * – rep *-* till end of the round, finish with 3 dc.. Total = 135 dc.

Round 14 – ch 3, 7 dc, 2 dc in 1, * 8 dc, 2 dc in 1 * – rep *-* till end of the round.. Total = 150 dc.

Round 15 – ch 3, 1 dc in each of the next 149 st. Total = 150 dc.

Rounds 16 – blo – ch 3, miss 1, ch 1, * 1 dc, miss 1, ch 1 * – rep *-* till end of the round.. Total = 150 st.

Round 17 – blo – ch 3, 13 dc, 2 dc in 1, * 14 dc, 2 dc in 1 * – rep *-* till end of the round.. Total = 160 dc.

Round 18 – blo – ch 3, 14 dc, 2 dc in 1, * 15 dc, 2 dc in 1 * – rep *-* till end of the round.. Total = 170 dc.

Round 19 – blo – ch 3, 1 dc in each of the next 169 st. Total = 170 dc.

Using tapestry needle and thread from beginning of your work (there will be an little opening at the top part) – join round and weave in ends.
